She discusses how to recognize signs that a parent may be using; how to approach the issue with destigmatizing language (and what language to avoid); as well as motivational interviewing and easy-to-implement screening and assessment questions. In addition, Dr. Baston details how to identify and consider evidence-based treatment programs in your region with whom you can build partnerships and create a bridge to help parents and families get help.
