FAQs

  • What is the Sundial Bridge?

Crossing over the Sacramento River in the heart of Redding, the Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay links the south and north campuses of Turtle Bay Exploration Park. Designed by renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, the bridge features imported Spanish tile, strips of granite and an aqua green, opaque glass deck. It also includes 217-foot pylon, which acts as a sundial, projecting the time on the tile covered garden border at the bridge's north end.
  • Are there any wineries nearby?

Shasta County's unique terroir and veiled micro-climates support diverse grape varietals of superior quality. Within minutes of Redding, you'll find several unique wineries, including the Inwood Valley, Anselmo Vineyards & Restaurant, Dakaro Cellars, One Maple Winery and Alpen Cellars.
